M. Kalani is the charismatic front man, singer and songwriter of “SUGahDADDY ‘ehawaiianrockband”, who have impressed local critics and won the Hawaii Music Awards with their first two CD Releases: the self titled, “SUGahDADDY ‘ehawaiianrockband” and “Under a Native Moon” in 2004 and 2005 respectively. They also won the Na Hoku Hanohano Awards for 2005 from HARA (Hawaii Association of Recording Artist), the State of Hawaii’s local NARA (National Association of Recording Artist).
He plays the same role in a new project, the Big Blue O, featuring music and stories that span oceans, cultures and genres in search of social and environmental justice.
